Spectacle Frames by Algha Group

Made by Algha Group, half-eye gold spectacle frames Having sold Algha spectacle frames for a number of years what a joy to listen to the main man himself MD Peter Viner, interviewed recently for BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live:

The Algha Group is a small family business employing just ten people including Peter's wife, son & daughter. Historically the company was the main manufacturer for the NHS and at its peak produced 11,500 pairs of spectacle frames a week. Together with the Milky Bar Kid, John Lennon and Gandhi, many of us probably wore them.

Whilst the round eye lives on and continues in popularity the classic half-eye also complements the resurgent dress code of today.

Round Reading Glasses in Small Spectacle Frames

comment here. We've just added these 'Berkeley & Son' small, round reading glasses to our plastic frames section. We absolutely love them, the classic shape and colouring are quite exquisite.

Unusually for a plastic spectacle frame they are fitted with 'rocker' nose pads which gently & comfortably lift the frame from the wearer's face.

Your choice of reading lenses are:-
+1.00 +1.25 +1.50 +1.75 +2.00 +2.25 +2.50 +3.00 and +3.50 dioptres.
