Having sold Savile Row spectacle frames for a number of years what a joy to listen to the main man himself, MD Peter Viner, interviewed recently for BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live.
The Algha Group is a small family business employing just ten people including Peter's wife, son & daughter. Historically the company was the main manufacturer for the NHS and at its peak produced 11,500 pairs of spectacle frames a week. Together with the Milky Bar Kid, John Lennon and Gandhi, many of us probably wore them.
Whilst the Savile Row round-eye lives on and continues in popularity, the gold executive half-eye spectacle frame also complements the resurgent dress code of today.
